Mark Acklin Iii

Mark "June" Acklin III, 76, was called to be with the Lord on September 27, 2023. He was born in Akron on February 4, 1947 to the late Mark Acklin Jr. and Elizabeth {Cosby} Acklin.

In addition to his parents, June was preceded in death by his daughters Tameka R. Acklin and Tracy Garret.

He is survived by wife Patricia Ackin, whom he married on September 21, 2012; sons Maurice Ackin, Mark Acklin IV and Demetrius Garret; sister Jacci; brothers Jeffrey and Christopher; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews & friends.

June graduated from Buchtel High School, and enlisted in the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge, he began his career as a tire builder at Firestone Tire & Rubber, where he retired after 30+ years of service.
