Mark Wilson Douglas Sr.

Mark Wilson Douglas Sr., 66, of Akron, passed away at home after a lengthy illness on October 30, 2017. He was born in Akron on September 5, 1951. Mark retired as an electrician and Business Manager with IBEW Local 306. He was an avid baseball fan and loved the Cleveland Indians. He also enjoyed classic cars. Above all, he loved to spend time with family and was very proud of his grandchildren.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Huel. He will be deeply missed by his mother, Lucille; sons, Mark (Elizabeth) and Matthew and their mother, Dorothy; brothers, Michael (Chris), Henry (Pam), Matthew, and Morgan (Joni); grandchildren, Ryan, Aidan, Ethan, and Madison; many nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and fellow members of IBEW Local 306.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Doylestown. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to IBEW Local 306.
