Mark Andrew Eplin

Mark Andrew Eplin, 56, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord on July 28, 2018. He was born in Akron on December 19, 1961. Mark was a valued employee of Macy's for 29 years, retiring in 2011 due to disabilities. He was a longtime member of Ellet Community Church of God where he was a Sunday School teacher and a willing servant of Christ. He loved spending time with his family and going out to eat. He was particularly fond of his niece and nephew and loved picking out special birthday cards for them each year. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Eplin. He is survived by his loving mother, Emma Jo Eplin; brother and sister-in-law, Matthew and Carlene Eplin; niece and nephew, Carissa and Christian Eplin; many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 11-1 followed by a 1:00 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, Pastor Mitch Martin officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ellet Community Church of God, 2700 Priscilla Ave., Akron, OH 44312.
