Mark A. Loren

Mark A. Loren, 59, of Goodyear Heights, was laid to rest on July 27, 2022 after battling a plethora of chronic illnesses spanning the last 15 years of his life.
He was born on June 18, 1963 to Carol and Eugene Loren. Mark was an eclectic individual whose career spanned many different professions from general contracting, iron work and furnace development to being a shrimp boat captain, and traveling with the carnival. Mark was an American and European history buff who enjoyed travelling to historic sites in both the U.S. and Europe as a young adult. He had a love of the great outdoors and enjoyed hiking, cave exploring, fishing, and visiting the beach. In his later years he enjoyed watching the History channel, listening to music, and collecting antiques from petrified wood and fossils to historic guns, tools, and jewelry. Most of all he enjoyed collecting beautiful memories with the people he loved which he displayed across his bedroom wall for all to see.
In addition to his father, Mark is preceded in death by his son, Dennis Craft.
Mark is survived by his mother, Carol Loren; children, Roy (Jennifer) Craft, Lesley Loren, Courtney Loren, Mark Loren II; grandchildren, Jazmyne, Rosalyn, Simone, Leysia, Gianna, Lukas, Henry, Sebastian, Dennissa, Aurora; brother, Donald (Sharon) Loren; niece Jennifer and nephew Jeffrey.
A memorial service will be held for Mark on Thursday, August 4, 2022 between the hours of 4PM – 7PM at the Goodyear Heights Metro Park Lodge on 2077 Newton St, Akron, OH 44305. Casual dress permitted.
