Mark A. Wellendorf
Mark A. Wellendorf, 39, of Akron, passed away June 15, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer. Mark was born October 23, 1966 in Akron, Ohio. He worked for Kenmore Construction for 20 years and was an active member of Ellet Grace Brethren Church. Mark was an accomplished athlete and enjoyed bike riding and held black belts in two different forms of martial arts. Above all, he was devoted to his family and will be missed by all who knew him. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Jo Wellendorf, and his grandparents. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Nannette; daughters, Kaitlyn and Madison; brothers, Anthony and Kris; parents-in-law, Dave and Nancy Elrod; and many other relatives and friends. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home at 9:15 on Monday and proceed to Ellet Grace Brethren Church, 530 Stetler Ave., for a 10:00 funeral service. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for Mark's daughters' college fund. Online condolences may be sent to www.newcomerfamily.com.
