Marlin Ray Ward, 66, of Deerfield, passed away on May 13, 2006. In his free time, Marlin enjoyed working on cars. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Brucie Ward; son, David; and brothers, Junior, Neeley, Gene, and Jessie. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Juanita; daughters, Sylvia Williams (fiance Douglas) of Ellet, Sara Williams (Brent) of Akron, and Beth Bradley of Tallmadge; son, Brian Newsome of Springfield; sisters, Martha Graham and Opal Myers; brothers, Allen, Chelsie, and Alfred Ward; grandchildren, Beth Williams, Justina Alhstrom, and Ryan, Kyra, and Aaron Williams; great-grandchildren, Nathan and Robert Williams and Erik and Joshua Alhstrom. Family and friends may call on Monday from 6-9 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. Interment at Lakewood Cemetery.
