Marshall L. Van Arsdale

Marshall L. "Van" Van Arsdale, 83, passed away Monday, December 16, 2013 at his home in Akron. He was born July 23, 1930 in Perryville, KY to the late Paul and Margerete Van Arsdale. Marshall retired from Ken Tools as a tool grinder after 38 years of service. He was a very loving father and enjoyed spending much of his free time around his family. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and visiting the speedway tracks.

Marshall is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Dorothy (Pulliam) Van Arsdale, daughter Gwen (Paul) Scherer of Melbourne, FL, son Zack (Jessica) Van Arsdale of Akron, grandchildren; Kristina, Stephanie, Mackynzie and Miranda (on the way), other friends and relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305. Friends and family may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Final resting place will be at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
