Martha Elizabeth Roby (King)
Martha Elizabeth Roby (King) was born July 5, 1920 to Noah and Flossie King in Edinburgh Ohio and went home to be with the Lord peacefully on Friday, April 6, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer H. Roby and daughter Elizabeth Ann Roby, sisters Bernice Pletcher, Althea Bowker, Beatrice Moore, Iona Parker, and brothers Garland and Cody King.
Martha was a retired LPN and member of the Eastern Star for over 70 years, Garfield Chapter #324, West Salem, Ohio.
She is survived by daughter Evelynn A. (Bill) Miller, and son William H. (Jackie) Roby; grandchildren Barbara Wienke, Tracy (Scott) Snowberger, Andrew K. Reid, William J. Roby, Veronica Jill Porter, Carrie (John) Hudkins; great grandchildren Harold, Elaine, Sidney, and Jack Snowberger, Jacquelyne Weinke, Kevin and Dylan Porter, Kathryn Blaurock, Eva and Annabelle Hudkins; sister Mary Kelley and brother Boyd King; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She enjoyed reading and volunteering at Good Neighbors. She was a long standing member of Gospel Crusaders Church.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday April 10 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m., Pastor John Beers officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park.
