Martha Evelyn Moss, 79, of Green, passed away June 29, 2005 at the Hospice Care Center. She was born May 14, 1926 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Joshua G. & Margaret E. (Stewart) Kent. Martha was a member of the Akron Baptist Temple where she loved serving her Savior in any capacity no matter what it was and where she also had been a cook and taught Sunday school for many, many years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James L. Moss; brothers, J. G. and Thomas Kent; and sister, Reba Richards. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judy & Rev. Paul Bloom of Green; son and daughter-in-law, Jim & Joyce Moss of Akron; grandchildren, Amy Holbrook, Adam Bloom, Jennifer Munn and Julie Moss; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Virginia (Glen) Angel and Dorothy Kent both of Tennessee. Calling hours will be Friday from 5 - 8:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 - 11 a.m. at the AKRON BAPTIST TEMPLE where services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday with Pastor Dallas Billington and Dr. Charles Billington officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Akron Baptist Temple, 2324Manchester Rd., Akron OH 44314 or Community Baptist Church, 1695 Massillon Rd., Akron OH 44312.
