Martha Ann Hymes
Martha Ann Hymes, 61, of Tallmadge, passed away December 16, 2007 after a courageous six year battle with cancer. Martha was born August 10, 1946 in Barnesville, Ohio and graduated from Akron East High School. She retired from Ohio Bell/SBC and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. In her free time, she was an avid genealogist and enjoyed traveling. Martha was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Benson. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Jonathan; children, Meredith (Jonathan) South and Jonathan (Janice) Hymes II; mother, Lenora Benson; brothers, Bob (Lillian) Benson and Bill (Dolly) Benson; sister, Linda DePrato; and her very special grandchildren, Christopher and Paige. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 10-2 and 4-8 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m., Rev. Kenneth Kelley officiating.
