Martha J. Uden, 89, passed away April 11, 2009. Martha retired after 37 years of service from the College of Engineering at The University of Akron. She used to transcribe books into Braille for the blind. Martha was also interested in ceramics, covered bridging, needlework, and gardening as long as she had her dog with her. Preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Nancy Lee; and her husband, Jimmy Paulin. She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis (Robert) Stutler; granddaughter, Ericka Stutler; and grandson, Scott Stutler. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m.
