Martha W. Moore, age 79 of Akron, Ohio, died on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 2:50 PM at Akron City Hospital.
She was born on March 14, 1938 in Lucasville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Margaret Holt Weichmann.
Martha was a graduate of Valley High School in Lucasville and was a draftsman for Ohio Bell/ATT for 35 years. She enjoyed tending to her house plants, using her computer, reading, playing the piano, painting, and watching movies with her daughter, Colleen. Martha had a good sense of humor and found many reasons to laugh and smile. Her greatest joy was to spend time with her loving family and friends. Martha was a wonderful caregiver as she attended to the needs of her husband, mother- and father-in-law, and her mother in their declining years.
She was an active long time member of the Southeast Church of the Nazarene in Tallmadge.
Survivors include her only loving daughter, Colleen Angela Moore; her sister-in-law, Faye Weichmann; her nieces and nephews, Valerie (Lee) House, Robin (Nate) Waybright, Joe Weichmann, James (Carolynn) Weichmann, Jay (Angela) Weichmann, Michael (Terri) Weichmann, and Connie (Russell) Strope.
She was very much appreciative of her cousin and good friend, Greg Morgan, who took care of her and her daughter, Colleen; her other cousins, Bernard (Barbara) Adkins, Linda Donatelli, Ruby (Arlon) Weaver, and many, many more.
Other than her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Moore; and her four brothers and their spouses, Carroll, Jack and Betty, Clifford and Myrtle, and Lawrence and Romona Weichmann.
Memorial services will be held at the Southeast Church of the Nazarene, 771 Dunbar Road, Tallmadge, Ohio, on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 11:00 AM.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home-Akron.
