Martha Jean "Marty" Pinazza

Martha Jean "Marty" Pinazza, 85, passed away on August 11, 2021 with her faithful, devoted & loving husband by her side. A lifelong Akron resident, she was born on August 19, 1935 and was a graduate of Garfield High School. Martha worked in the rubber industry for most of her life and retired from Monarch Rubber. She enjoyed snowbirding in Florida in her later years and was an avid seamstress, quilter and crafter. Martha was a longtime member of Millheim Baptist Church. Her quick wit will be missed by all.

Marty was preceded in death by her mother, Fleeta Hodges; step-dad, Pat Hodges; and grandsons, Caleb Hibbs and Eric Dadich. She is survived by her husband Lou of 50 years; children, Valerie (Kevin) Hibbs, Mark (Vicki) Kavali III, Vivian (Mike) Kacsanek, Michael (Diane) Kavali; step-children, Beverly (Rick) Rumbler, Louis E. Pinazza Jr. aka "Buddy," Darrell (Pandora) Pinazza; brother, Jimmy (Beverly) Freshwater; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 9:00am - 11:00am on Tuesday, August 17 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. in Akron. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00am. Pastor Kim Lawrence officiating. Private graveside services at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery to follow.
