Martha Ann Warner, 85, of Hartville, passed away on February 3, 2023. She was born on January 31, 1938 to the late Ford and Ruth {Smith} White.
In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd "Duane" Warner, sister Mary Ramsey; granddaughter Heather Pierce.
Martha is survived by her loving daughter, Pat (Michael) McGaughey; son, William R. (Beth) Pierce, Jr.; grandchildren Robert (Heather) Martin, Nick (Kristin Gaut) Pierce, Tiffany (Mike) Kim, Stephanie (Chris) Roseman, Ashley (Stephen) Long, Allen (Brittany) McGaughey, Shawn (Chasta) Pierce, Matthew (Melanie Groves) McGaughey, Allison Pierce and Brooke Pierce; great-grandchildren Michael, Bella, Landen, Alivia, Cambri, Alexis, Noah, Lilly, Brielle, Maverick, Brock, Bryce, Kyle, Peyton, Parker, Ella and Grayson; brother Ed Gallatin.
Martha worked in laundry at Akron City Hospital, and later the cafeteria at Seiberling Elementary. She was a member of Community Christian Chapel in Kenmore, and her faith was very important to her and Duane. Martha was the definition of tough love, and though her love was not entirely unconditional, it was always genuine.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until a memorial service begins at 11:00 a.m. at Community Christian Chapel, 2306 18th St. SW, Akron, OH 44314, with Dwayne Cummings officiating.
