Martha M. Watkins
Martha M. Watkins, 88, passed away on February 24, 2009. Martha was Baptist by faith and enjoyed reading, gardening and traveling. She was preceded in death by her first husband John Clyde Beavers; second husband William E. Watkins; and son Gene C. Beavers. Survivors include sons Julian (Sylvia) and Jim (Wanda) Beavers, both of Tennessee; daughters Joyce Vaughn and Debbie Thomas, both of Akron; stepchildren William Watkins and Charlotte (James) Guarino; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. Special thanks to Summit Villa and Hospice of Summa for their care and support. Calling hours will be TODAY, 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where a funeral service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Summit Villa Care Center, 330 Southwest Ave. Tallmadge, OH 44278.
