Martin L. Cunningham, age 64 of Wadsworth, Ohio, formerly of Akron, passed away, surrounded by family, on December 23, 2018.
He was born in Barberton on April 14, 1954, the son of Audrey (nee Brown) Cunningham of Hudson, Ohio, and the late Edgar Cunningham.
Martin was an honorably discharged US Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Mr. Cunningham was a school bus driver for the Akron Public School System for 16 years.
In addition to his mother, other survivors include his loving wife, Sharon Matheney Cunningham; his daughters, Melissa (Kenny) Simers, Alison (Corey) Porter, and Carlie Sullivan; his step-children, Scott and Jeremy Matheney; his grandchildren, Savannah, Madelynn, Whitney, Evelynn, Franklin; his step-grandchildren, Jordan, Darren, Kylee, Savannah, Montana, Madalyn, Isabella, and Lacie; his step-great-granddaughter, Kalli; and his sister, Connie (Paul) Santabarbara. He loved being with family, especially his grandchildren.

Other than his father, Martin was preceded in death by his brothers, Mark and Michael Cunningham.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Liedertafel Club, 191 2nd Street NW, Barberton, on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.
Mr. Cunningham's cremated remains will be buried at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio, with military honors.
