Martin Tibensky

December 30, 1952 — February 3, 2022

Martin "Marty" Tibensky, age 69 of Hartville passed away on February 3, 2022. He was born on December 30, 1952 to David L. and Dorothy I. {Greenfield} Tibensky.

Marty was preceded in death by his sister Mallory Tibensky and brother Neal Helsel.

Marty will be incredibly missed by his parents David and Dorothy; wife Cheryl; children Alyssa (Caleb Lanham) Walker, Lori (John) Swickheimer and Brianna (Tiffany) Henley; step-daughter Heather (Adam) Cole; grandchildren Gavin, Kaidyn, Ashlynn, Dylan, Ava, Marlee, J.D., Jessa, Ethan, Caiden, Emma and Hannah; sister Carolyn Witherow; nieces, nephews and friends.

Marty grew up in Randolph, and graduated from Waterloo High School, class of 1971. He was a machinist by trade, but had recently retired to enjoy his true passion: working on the farm. Marty was a true man of God.

Marty was bigger than life, and had a heart to match. He had a great sense of humor that resulted in some great one liners. Marty's smile could be seen from a mile away, and he always had a twinkle in his eye. He loved to be outdoors, traveling with his wife, farming and hunting with his nephew and grandson. Marty cherished his family, and loved his grandchildren more than anything. He was an authentic, genuine and stand up person, who was admired greatly by those who knew him. Marty loved to help people, and shared his knowledge with anyone willing to learn. His favorite tree was the Oak, like him; strong, stable, wise and with roots that run deep and touch many.

"Being a man is about truth, honesty, and doing the right thing." - Papa T
