Marvin E. Buchanan, 70, passed away on September 10, 2007. He was born in Tallmadge and currently resided in Uniontown. Marvin graduated from Ellet High School and the University of Akron. Marvin was a member of Grace Bible Church and Wayfarer Masonic Lodge 789. He was a "Jack of All Trades"; he could do anything and was always willing to lend a helping hand. After retiring from Goodyear with 34 years of service, he had various other jobs. Among many other endeavors, he worked as a real estate agent, a substitute teacher, and for the USDA. Marvin also enjoyed boating and fishing, and was active in politics, the Ellet Jaycees and the Ellet Athletic Association. He will be missed by many. Preceded in death by his father William. Survivors include his wife Elaine (Citerin); mother Lorraine; daughter Susan; sons Marvin Jason (Jodi), Frank, and Brian (Julie); stepsons Peter (Julia), Steven, and Jeffrey Citerin; sisters Faith Brown and Linda (Al) Tatum; brothers Jack (Gail) and Thomas (Claudia); 8 grandchildren; and many dear friends. Calling hours will be Friday, 4-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron. Funeral service Saturday, 11 a.m. at Grace Bible Church, 5781 Manchester Rd., Akron, Pastor Jerry Harpool officiating.
