Marvin E. Rayl Sr., 91, gone to be with the Lord on January 7, 2018.
He retired from Alsides Inc, a division of US Steel.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 38 years, Laura A. Rayl; and 3 sisters.
Marvin is survived by his wife of 29 years, Mary; sons, Marvin E. (Arlene) Rayl Jr. and Jerry L. (Tammy) Rayl; step-daughters, Dianne (Jim) Forsythe, Nancy (Tom) Hartman and Marice Forshey; sisters, Ruth Hanlin, Elva Plantz, Valarie Hahn, Hannah Rayl, Joyce Adams; brothers, Curt and Paul Rayl; grandchildren, Scott (Julie) Rayl, Jeff (Karin) Rayl and Amanda (Barry) Poole; step-granddaughters, Shay and Jessica Forsythe, and Natalie Hartman; 8 great-grandchildren; several step great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Friday January 19, 2018 from 10-11 with the funeral service immediately following at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. Pastor Kenneth Bulgrin officiating. Interment Crown Hill Cemetery.
