Mary J. Anderson, 71, of Akron, passed away July 7, 2005. Mary was a member of the Eagles 2301 and the Ladies Auxiliary Addie Day 52. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carroll and Beaulah Hanks, and brother, Donald Hanks. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; daughters, Mary Beers, Barbara Mills (John Schillinger), and Brenda (Kevin) Salisbury; son, Eddie Mills; sisters, Maggie (Jim) and Betty; brother, James; grandchildren, Tracey Doolittle, Heather Beers, Shannon Beers, Allen Jacob Miller, Kimberly Miller, Patrick Mills, and Michael Salisbury; great-grandchildren, Shane Beers, Shawn Beers, Jason Doolittle, and Angel Doolittle. A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., with visitation from 1 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary's name to the American Cancer Society of Hospice of Summa.
