Mary Anne was called home Sunday, September 27, 2020 surrounded by family in her home. She was a loving Mother, Sister, Aunt, and Grandmother that will forever be missed. To those that did not know her, they regrettably learned that her name was not Mary but MARY ANNE! She had a strong ability to make people laugh or embarrass them. She always placed her family ahead of herself and was the most generous giving person. She loved to watch her grandchildren play at her house and always kept the kitchen filled with treats so she could spoil her grandkids. She loved PEPSI, BINGO, quilt shop hops, collecting crafts, and having luncheons with her sisters. She was a bit of a terror behind the wheel and would commonly yell at other motorists while holding up all five fingers as a gesture of five middle fingers.
Born in Akron on December 08, 1947, she was preceded in death by her parents Elizabeth and Joseph, her children Jennifer and John (Carolyn), siblings Moe (Gail) Orr, Ray Orr, Bill (Alice) Orr, Orr (Ruby) Orr, Robbie Orr, and Geraldine.
She is survived by siblings Susie (Tom) Kaiser, Katie (Keith) Robinson, Betty Jo (Roger) Houpt, Jody (Val) Orr, and Christine (Carl) Carter. Children Clifford Hayes, Brenda (Tim) Burnside, Debbie (Jimmy) Hayes, Jeremiah (Elizabeth) Hayes, Mark (Marie) Hayes. She also has several nieces, nephews, grandkids, and friends that were a huge part of her life.
Join us in celebrating her life and telling her stories, Saturday, October 3rd at Newcomer funeral home 131 N. Canton
Rd, Akron OH 44305 from 10-12 followed by a short service then procession to Greenlawn Memorial Park.
