Mary Anne "Mimi" Lee, 92, died May 27, 2021. She was born June 27, 1928 in Buffalo, New York to the late Herbert and Anne (Lundy) Lee. She was a graduate of St. Mary High School and retired from Burkhardt Consolidated Co. as a bookkeeper. Mimi was a long-time active member of Saints Philip and James in Canal Fulton where she participated in weekly adoration. All who knew her know how much she loved dogs. She also loved spending time with family and friends. Mimi enjoyed her last several years making new friends where she lived at The Village of St. Edward.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Jeanne Lee and Betsy (George) Boso; brothers, Herbert (Jane) and Bill Lee; sister-in-law, Jo Lee. She is survived by her brother, Jim Lee and sister-in-law, Doris Lee; many dear nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Visitation will be held at St. Matthew Church, 2580 Berne St., Akron on Thursday, June 3 from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. followed by a funeral mass at noon with Father Mike Williamson presiding. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family requests NO FLOWERS and that memorial contributions be made in Mary Anne's memory to Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601. A special thank you to the staff at The Village of St. Edward for the love, care, and dedication they showed to Mimi.
