Mary Ellen Becker

Mary E. Ellen, 88, passed away on April 8, 2020. She was born January 5, 1932 in Akron, Ohio. She graduated from Central High School and worked for the University of Akron for 17 years. Mary's legacy, as a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother will be remembered by all she touched.
Mary was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, John; son, Michael; parents; Eugene and Mary (Smith); and brothers, Eugene and Harold (Bud) Smith.
She is survived by her daughters, Gay Lynn (George) Longauer and Kimberly (Bob) Meaney; son, Scott (Tonya) Becker; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A service and memorial gathering will be held at a later date. Both John and Mary will be laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
