Mary C. Adamo, age 96, was received into the arms of the Lord on April 5, 2010. Mary was born in Gallitzin, PA, but resided in Akron and Green. Mary was a woman of great faith. She loved cooking and gardening, but her greatest joy was her family. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas; parents, Virginia and Louis; sister, Emma; brother, Sam; and grandson, James. She is survived by sons, Joseph (Rose), Paul (Cindy); daughter, Theresa (Gary) Ruther; brothers, Bob and Jim; sister, Adeline; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson. The family would like to thank the staff of Pebble Creek Nursing Home for their years of personal care. There will be no calling hours. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, 10 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 1800 Steese Rd. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
