Mary Elizabeth Domer

Mary Catherine Domer, 70, of Akron, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022. She was born in Canton, Ohio to the late Albert and Dorothy DeJaneiro on June 16, 1951 and grew up in Perry Township. Mary was an active member of AA and achieved over 20 years of sobriety. She was a talented quilter who made many quilts to contribute back to the program that helped her throughout her life.

Mary enjoyed spending time outside. She loved camping, fishing, and bird watching. She loved taking care of her cats Pumpkin and Patch. She was also a passionate Cleveland sports fan. Christmas was Mary's favorite time of year and she loved decorating for the holidays.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brother, Mike DeJaneiro; and sister, Bessie DeJaneiro.

She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Melissa (Jim Crady) Riley; son, Brian (Mindy) Domer; grandchildren, Christopher James "CJ" and Anthony Albert Riley, Elizabeth and Olan Domer; brothers, Ralph and Albert "Junior" DeJaneiro; and other extended family members and friends.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, February 20, 2022 from 12pm until the time of service at 2pm at Newcomer 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
