Mary A. Clause
Mary A. Clause, 87, passed away February 18, 2012. She was born in Akron on September 5, 1924 to the late James and Ruth Rabe. Mary was a teacher at Greensburg Elementary School in Green for 25 years. She was a longtime member of Messiah Lutheran Church. In her free time, Mary enjoyed traveling, especially to the annual family reunions at the beach. She also enjoyed swimming, crossword puzzles, and her daily outings with the Hartville walkers. She loved her volunteer work at Edwin Shaw. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Clause; and four siblings: Frank, Ruth, Nancy, and Bill. She will be deeply missed by her children, Robert (Linda) Clause, Carol Clause (Carl Crider), Mary (Tom) Scott, Nancy Julian, and William (Pamela) Clause; grandchildren, Shelly, Emily, Heather, Mary Katherine, Jennifer, Nathan, Deanna, and Eryn; great-grandchildren, Connor, Maddy, Will, Benjamin, and Alice Mary; and many other relatives and friends. Mary's family wishes to thank the staffs at The GreenView Inn, Aseracare Hospice, and Caring Senior Service for all their support. A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 20 at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Jeffrey Hancock officiating at Messiah Lutheran Church, 4700 S. Main St., Akron, OH 44319. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church.
