Mary D. Hayes

Mary Hayes, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 29, 2016. She was born on October 13, 1932 to Madaline Odom and Elvin Snyder. Mary loved spending time with her friends and family. She also enjoyed cooking, decorating, golfing and bowling. Mary was an inspiration for all who met her.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents Madaline Odom and Elvin Snyder; and siblings Dave Hudson and Vicki Bornman. She is survived by her husband, Donald R. Hayes, children, Robert Hayes (Jackie), Brenda Gainer (Mike), siblings Debbie Troyer (Dave) and Robert Hayes (Kathi); grandchildren Nicholas Ciriello and Curtis Robinson; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.The family would like to say "Thank You" to the entire staff of the Woodlawn Compassionate Care Facility for their support and special care that they provided to their loved one.

Calling hours and funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Greenlawn Memorial Park Chapel, 2580 Romig Road, Akron, Ohio 44320.In lieu of flowers, the family will be accepting donations to the American Cancer Society or the American Foundation for the Blind.
