Mary Elizabeth Barton
Mary Elizabeth (Hall) Barton went to be with the Lord on April 14, 2007. Mary was born in Murphy, NC on July 25, 1920. She lived in the Akron area since 1945. She was a wonderful Christian mother of five children, grandmother of 14 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. She was an active member of The Chapel for many years. Mother always acknowledged, praised, and gave thanks to God, our creator, and to his Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior. She used every opportunity to tell others of God's love and grace. Celebrating her life and exemplary Christian legacy are her sons, William J., Robert G., R. Donovan and Charles R. Barton; her daughter, Camilla A. Hohlbaugh, and their families. Her husband, William E. Barton preceded her in death in 1991. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Funeral services Wednesday at 12 noon at The Chapel, 135 Fir Hill, with Reverend Lynn Warner officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
