Mary E. Frye, 73, of Akron, passed away on February 16, 2013. She was born in Akron on July 13, 1939 to the late Harry and Clara Ritcher. Mary was employed at Akron City Hospital for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Les Frye; son, Tommy Frye; sister, Inez Long; brother, Sonny Ritcher; and son-in-law, Clarence Turner. She will be deeply missed by her children, Sharon Turner, Terry Frye, and Jeana Frye; grandchildren, Justin, Nathan (Brittany), Melissa (Zack), Tiara (Dustin), Joshua, and Jason; great-grandchildren, Giana and Kilah; sister, Harriet Barnhart and Catherine Jacob; special friends, Rosemary Barlow, Betty Hartz, and Nancy Williams; in-laws, nieces, and nephews; and beloved dog, Mitzi Sue.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday February 20 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Robert Webb officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, OH 44333.
