Mary E. Taylor
Mary E. Taylor, 71, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2007 at Hospice Care Center, surrounded by her children and close friends. She was born August 26, 1936 in Woodbay, West Virginia. She grew up in Doylestown and was a graduate of Doylestown High School before moving to Akron. Mary was a waitress at the New Era Restaurant for over 20 years, where she made some wonderful friends. She always called her grandkids "Angels" and would never let anyone leave without saying "I love you." She loved going to Myrtle Beach with her family and browsing in all the stores. She was a great cook and loved to plant flowers in the spring. She always reminded us not to go anywhere without leaving a "note". Mary was preceded in death by Clay Taylor and her parents, Everett and Beulah Lively. She is survived by her brother, Howard Lively of Phoenix, AZ; sons, Clay and Mark Taylor of Akron; daughter, Lori Sumner of Akron; stepchildren, Sharon Walters of Norton and Dennis (Sue) Taylor of Grafton; grandchildren, Clay and Brandon Taylor and twins, Taylor and Tara Sumner, all of Akron; one great-grandchild; sisters-in-law, Virginia Taylor of Akron, Christine Raymond of Fairlawn, Pauline (Larry) Geraci of Sarasota, FL, and Thelma Taylor of Tennessee; brother-in-law, Simon (Lucille) Taylor of Wadsworth; many loving nieces and nephews; and her best friends of over 60 years, Richard and Justine Garrett of Wadsworth. The family would like to give special thanks to Pam and Larry for always being there and to the entire staff at Hospice Care Center for the exceptional care, concern, and kind words given to Mary. Funeral services will be held Monday at 6:30 p.m. with visitation from 3:30 -6:30 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME (330) 784-3334
