Mary Elizabeth Furbee, 76, passed away on July 8, 2013.
Mary was the biggest Ohio State, Cleveland Browns and Indians fan. She enjoyed camping and fishing as well as spending time with her family and friends. Mary retired from Gojo after 32 years of service.
Preceded in death by her parents, Mildred and Leroy Fleshman; brothers, Richard and Wesley Fleshman; ex-husband and friend Raymond Furbee; and good friend, Shirley Burtrand.
Survivors include daughters, Karen L. Furbee (Kim Engbert) and Beth A. Furbee (Deb Trinidad); sister, Barbara Fleshman; best friend, Karen Fratz; and brother-in-law, Walter Furbee.

Calling hours will be Friday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a funeral service will be held Saturday at 12:30 p.m. Private interment at Mt. Peace Cemetery. In honor of Mary's devotion to The Ohio State University, the family requests that those attending her services please wear her favorite colors, Scarlet and Gray. Go Bucs! In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Maison Aine activities fund or the Alzheimer's Association.
