Mary Elizabeth Sumey, 72, of Akron, passed away September 26, 2010. She was born April 29, 1938 to the late Thomas and Marion Lybrook. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Leroy and Bob Lybrook ; sister-in-law, Eliose Lybrook; and brother-in-law, Bob Hollyfield. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 52 years, Lawrence Sumey; children, Sally (Raymond) Breindel, Gail (Gregory) Curtis, Lawrence Sumey, Jr., Tom Sumey, Laura (Scott) Burton, Roger Sumey, Kenny Sumey, Melody (Rick) Sanner, and Valerie (Ray) Gault; siblings, William Lybrook, Henry (Gloria) Lybrook, Ethel (Frank) Batton, Tom Lybrook, Ida Hollyfield, and Richard (Charlotte) Lybrook; thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Dannemiler, Dr. Zarconi, and Hospice of Summa for all the care given to Mary. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m., Rev. Kim Lawrence officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
