Mary Margaret Falkenstein, age 99 of Tallmadge went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. She was born in Cambria, PA, on December 13, 1921, one of nine children born to the late Robert and Katherine {Sherwood} Harris.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by all of her siblings, her beloved husband Frank and her son, David Mock.
Mary will be fondly remembered by her daughter Debbie (Richard) Beech; daughter-in-law Janet Mock; grandchildren Jeremiah (Tracy) Mock, Fenton Beech, Alexis (Pat) Fiocca and Wesley (Stephanie) Beech; great-grandchildren Titus and Selah Mock, Decland and Ronan Beech, Talia, Liam and Tatum Fiocca, Noah and Caleb Beech; many nieces and nephews.
Mary sold real estate for over 30 years, and was a member of the "million dollar club," a yearly-awarded accolade presented to agents for outstanding sales. She loved her church, and played the piano at services for many years, from the time she was a teenager. Her faith was vital in her life, and she shared Jesus often with those she met, up until the end. Mary adored her grandchildren, and had a way of making people feel valued and cherished. She loved to entertain friends, her church family and pastor. Mary loved to shop, especially at Macy's, lunching at Panera, and designing her rock garden. She regularly dressed to the nines, always with lots of "bling." One of Mary's favorite places was the cottage at the Mahaffey Church Camp.
Mary will be laid to rest privately next to Frank at Tallmadge Cemetery. A memorial service will be held in her honor at Arlington Memorial Baptist Church, 2330 E Market Street, Akron, OH 44312 on Saturday, September 18 at 11:00 a.m. To leave a message for Mary's family, please scroll below.
