Mary Frances Nicholas was born in Akron, Ohio on May 28, 1929 and passed away peacefully after a long illness on February 12, 2021. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.
Our Mother enjoyed life long friendships, was an avid reader, and loved politics. She was and always will be the bright light in our lives and we will miss her deeply. We would like to thank the Hospice of the Western Reserve and Ames Family Hospice House for the outstanding care she received from all the wonderful nurses, aides, and staff.
Mary Frances was preceded in death by the love of her life, Lewis J. Nicholas; parents, Pha and Frances (Lewis) Guffy; brother, Bill Guffy. She will be sadly missed by children, Jim, Julie, and Jeff; grandson, Trevor; nieces, nephews, and friends.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will have a private memorial at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Mary Frances' name to the charity of their choice.
