Mary Ann Hudak, 85, of Akron, passed away peacefully at home, with her family surrounding her on January 29, 2023. She was born on April 13, 1937 to the late George and Mary {Pavlosky} Vasilchik.
In addition to her parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband John and all 5 of her siblings.
Mary Ann is survived by her loving children Cynthia Linville, John (Denise) Hudak, Paula (Joe) Kovach, Janet Hudak and Brian (Jennifer) Hudak; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
Mary Ann worked at Bell Telephone in Pittsburgh, PA, and then devoted her life to her husband John and their family. She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, where she and John volunteered for many events. She enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, playing bingo, and making several trips to Mountaineer Casino and Las Vegas.
Mary Ann's family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Crossroads Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of Mom in her final weeks.
Visitation will be held at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2580 Berne St. Akron, OH 44312 on Saturday, February 4 from 10:00 a.m. until the Memorial Mass begins at 11:00 a.m. with Father Michael Williamson officiating. Private inurnment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, where Mary Ann will be laid to rest with John.
