Mary Jane Woodford (Darrah)
Mary Jane Woodford (Darrah), 82, of Mogadore, passed away on March 18, 2005. She was born on Oct. 16, 1922, in Macksburg, OH. She moved to Akron after graduating from High School, and worked at Goodyear during war time. Mary belonged to the Order of Eastern Star, Billlow Chapter #483, and had a passion for collecting and reading cookbooks. Mary is preceded in death by her parents O. Leslie and Effie (Miller) Darrah; her husband of 44 years, Clare Woodford; and brothers: Myron, Carl, and James Darrah. She is survived by her half-brother, Harvey Darrah and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by close friend and angel Linda Boal and family. Familiy will receive friends at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N Canton Rd, from 1-2 PM on Wednesday March 23 where a service will be held at 2 PM. Interment to follow at East Akron Cemetery.
