Mary K. (Anderson) Engleka, 76, passed away December 24, 2009. Mary Katherine was born in Meyersdale, Pa. on October 23, 1933. She resided at 1015 Maywood Ave., Akron, until 1998. Then moved to Hudson Elms Nursing Home in Hudson, Ohio until her death. Preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Engleka. She is survived by her daughters, Michelle (Scott) Gibson of Akron, and Jennifer (Chris) Reboul of Stow; son, Jonathan (Krissy) Engleka of Corpus Christi, Texas; grandchildren, Justin, Jared, Erik, and Allysa. Out of nine siblings, she is survived by one sister, Beatrice Smith; and one brother, Chirley Anderson, both of Pennsylvania. A visitation will be held Sunday, December 27, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral services and burial will take place in Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society.
