Mary K. Kightlinger

Mary K. Kightlinger (nee Allison), 75, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 25, 2023. She was born on May 16, 1948 in Ravenna, Ohio to the late Richard and Grace Allison. She graduated from Stow High School in 1966.

Mary was a talented and creative woman who loved painting, crafting, and flower arranging. She shared many adventures with her family, and loved traveling and going on cruises. She married her hero, Ronald Kightlinger, at the age of 17 and the two spent 56 years together raising a family.

Mary will be deeply missed by her children, Kathy Kightlinger, Teresa (Don) Kapper, and Ken (Stephanie) Kightlinger; grandchildren, Tia (Anthony) Allen, Rachael (Nathan) Jones, Anthony Roberts, Karleena (Kevin) King, Gabriella Kapper, Lia (Corly) Goehler; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Laura (Adam) Welfley, Tom (Joni) Allison, Lyn (Cathy) Allison, and Julia (Paul) Anderson; and many other family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Ronald Kightlinger; brother, Robert Allison; and her beloved dog, Bogey.

Visitation will take place on Saturday September 9, 2023 from 1pm until 3pm at Newcomer 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305. A memorial service will begin at 3pm.

Mary will always be remembered for her love of bright colors, and her family encourages her guests to wear color to her service.
