Mary L. Willey

Mary L. Willey, 93, passed away quietly at home, after a long illness, on June 26, 2013. She was a member of Akron Baptist Temple.

Preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Glen; son, David; daughters, Joanne and Judy; sister, Mabel. She is survived by brother, Earl King; daughter-in-law, Helen Willey; son-in-law, Les Cockerham; grandchildren, Michele, Kim, Lori, Rob, Ian, Matthew, Jeff, and Tommy; 8 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way; 1 great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Margo Mackey, RN, caregivers, Debi, Donna, Bonnie, Lori, and Karen. Thanks so much, Aunt Helen, for all you've done. Also, special thanks to Dr. Jose Dy. Thank you, sir, for all of your years of support and friendship. Goodbye Little Gran, 'til we meet again.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, July 2, 2013, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. Interment at Lakewood Cemetery.
