Mary E. Lambert

Mary Lambert (nee Bickers), born September 12, 1930, passed away in her sleep on January 6, 2021. She attended Brown Street Church of Christ until she moved into the nursing home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie (who also suffered from Alzheimer's) and Maude Bickers, and brothers J.R. (Nina) and Hite. Also welcoming her home are her husband, Gus, and her son, Patrick.

She will be missed by her sons Danny (Bonnie) and Brian (Lou Ann), and daughter-in-law, Donna; grandchildren who she loved so much, Tammy (Kevin), John (Richard), Maureen, Cory (Laura), Matthew (Brittnay) and Larissa (Donnie); great-grandchildren, Anthony (Lydia), Tia, Justin, Ashley, Annalise and Avaleigh; great-great granddaughter, Tatum; sister, LessieMae (Robert); and her many nieces and nephews will remember her with love.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 11am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, with calling hours one hour prior. Preacher Chuck Hopkins will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, bake a chocolate roll for your family or donate to Alzheimer's research.
