Mary E. Ledyard (Krizo)

Mary E. Ledyard (Krizo), 67, of Boardman, formerly of Brimfield, passed unexpectedly on March 19, 2018. Mary was born on January 1, 1951 at Robinson Memorial Hospital to the late John and Ellen Krizo. She graduated from Field High School in 1969, and went on to continue her education at Kent State, where she obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio and Graphic Arts.

Mary was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a talented artist whose specialty was making beautiful and delicious cakes and baked goods for her family and others. Mary enjoyed NPR, musical theater, and many types of music, especially classical. Her children shared this love of music as well, and she wholeheartedly supported them in every way possible.


Mary was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ellen (Davis) Krizo.

Mary will be deeply missed by her husband of 38 years, Randy Ledyard; children, Robert (Emily Dressler) Ledyard, Alisa (Chris Seiler) Ledyard, and Jennifer (Jonathan) Henry; granddaughter, Lenore Ledyard; sister, Karen Hackney; brothers, John Krizo, Robert Krizo, and Richard (Sharon) Krizo; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends and family are welcome to Newcomer 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, on Friday March 23, 2018 to visit from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm, and again on Saturday March 24, 2018 from 11am-12pm. A funeral service will take place on Saturday at the funeral home at 12pm.
