Mary Lou Garwick Dennis

Mary Lou Garwick Dennis, 87, passed away at home on November 12, 2021. Mary Lou was born in Kent, Ohio on December 29, 1933 to the late John and Arlene DePrille. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Kent and a few years later she met Carl Garwick. They married on May 9, 1953 and raised their family of four children together in Brimfield until Carl passed away in 1966.
Mary Lou started her career as a clerk at Lawson's and remained with the company for 50 years, retiring from Circle K at the age of 84. Mary Lou loved her customers. She got to know the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of people she served from her first days on the job. In her free time, Mary Lou was an avid reader. She also enjoyed crosswords and puzzles. In her younger years, she loved to go out dancing.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary Lou was preceded in death by her half brother, Alfred Potteiger. She will be dearly missed by her children, Cindy (Tom) Lewis, Mike Garwick, Greg (Kim) Garwick, and Jeff Garwick; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Per Mary Lou's wishes, no services will be held. Her family will celebrate her life privately.
