Mary M. Gardner, 84, of Akron, passed away April 19, 2013 at her home. She was born in Akron on May 13, 1928 to the late Joseph and Josephine Reynolds. Mary will always be remembered as a loving person who was devoted to her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling with her husband of 64 years and family gatherings.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gabriel Reynolds. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Charles; children, Tom Gardner, Paul (Tami) Gardner, Terry (Bill) Benner, Lynn (Gene) Bennett; brothers, Louis and Robert Reynolds; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may call on Monday, April 22 from 4-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Prayers will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. funeral mass at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2603 Benton Ave., Akron, OH 44312. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew Catholic Church or Crossroads Hospice, North Eastern Division, 3743 Boettler Dr., Suite E, Green, OH 44685.
