Mary Louise Mathews

Mary Louise Mathews, 85, passed away January 20, 2021 at home with her son and daughter in-law by her side. Born in Akron, Ohio to Ross and Louise (DeTello) DeLuca, she was a lifelong area resident. She retired from Cintas after 61 years of service. Known for her Italian wedding soup, Mary Louise enjoyed watching the Steelers and cooking shows, adult coloring books, word search puzzles and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Terry. She will be sadly missed by her son, Mike (Janet); sister, Dolores Dillon; niece, Denise Dillon and her sons Vincent, Christian, and Ethan; nephews, Jimmy and Billy Dillon; close friends, Connie Pollard, Al Kocsis as well as other dear friends.

Family and friends are invited to visit Wednesday, January 27, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will immediately follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Due to Covid 19 concerns please expect to wear masks and practice social distancing. Interment will take place at East Liberty Cemetery.
