Mary Parker Nyarko Moore

Mary Parker Nyarko Moore, 47, of Akron, passed away on July 15, 2019. She was born in Ghana on February 23, 1972 to Solomon and Elizabeth (Swatson) Nyarko. She was a longtime employee of Akron Public and Hudson Schools and a member of the West Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She loved teaching the Bible as a full-time Pioneer. Mary was affectionately known by her family as Sister Kukuwa. Mary was born in Mampong-Ashanti in the Ashanti region, the 10th and last born to her parents. After Primary school, she completed her studies at Winneba Secondary school in Central Region. She later graduated from Business school in Ghana. Upon finishing school she joined the family business of retail clothing sales and baking. In 1994 Mary joined her senior sister Mrs. Augustina Gaisie in America. Mary's love of Jehovah is reflected in her kind, generous and loving spirit! Her beautiful smile, her spicy dishes, her wisdom, (especially in the ministry), her friendship, her great love for her daughters Sarah and Naomi, and most notably she will be sorely missed by her husband of 19 years Danny Moore Jr. Our Mary was preceded in death by her father, Solomon Nyarko; two brothers and one sister. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Danny Moore Jr.; daughters, Sarah Moore and Naomi Moore; mother, Elizabeth Swatson; six siblings; many other beloved relatives and friends including special father-in-law, Danny Moore Sr. and special friend, Carolyn Nesbitt. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 2, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation from 11 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
