Mary Nell Epling, 86, of Akron, passed away February 21, 2008 at Hospice Care Center. She was born February 2, 1922 to the late Charles & Martha (Thomas) Ramsey in Granville, Tennessee. Mary was known for her sense of style, selflessness and unconditional love for her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Epling; 6 brothers and 5 sisters, with a special remembrance of her sister, Ruby Ada Ramsey. She is survived by her children, David (Kathy) Epling, Beverly Epling and Kim (Jeff) Jatich; grandchildren, Carl Booth, Kelley and Sean Jatich. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. Calling hours will be from 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home until the service begins. The family would like to acknowledge the love and support of Don & Mary Ramsey, Frances Miller, Roger & Pat Ramsey, Lisa Shaffer and Jenny Ramsey. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron OH 44333 or to the charity of choice.
