Mary Nelle Wise, 90, of Akron, passed away October 8, 2010. Nelle was born October 27, 1919 in Tennessee to the late Benjamin and Minnie Birdwell. She was a longtime member of Oak Hill Presbyterian Church and a dear friend to many people. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wise and sister, Ruth Summers. She will be deeply missed by nephews, Gary (Terry) Mercer of Uniontown, Ronald Summers of Ferndale, MI and Darrell Summers of Fostoria, MI; nieces, Linda Armsey of Mogadore and Carrie (Kenneth) Conner of Uniontown; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Nelle's family would like to thank the staff at St. Luke's Lutheran Home in N. Canton for all their care. A funeral service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., with Pastor Brian Nutt officiating. Private interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
