Mary Emma Nelson "G'G"

Mary Emma Nelson "G'G," 83, passed away on March 22, 2017. She was born in Akron on October 23, 1933 to late parents Yale and Ruth Sloan. Mary retired from Ohio Edison as an Executive Secretary after many years of service. She was a happy person with a beautiful smile.
Mary was preceded in death by sisters, Helen and Janice. She is survived by her sweetheart of 42 years, Lewis; children of the late Donald Watson, Debra J. VanPelt, Richard Todd Watson, Donna S. Watson; step-children, Lewis E., William D., Lorianne Phillips; grandchildren, Joshua, Jared, Kayla, Karrissa, Sloan, Mary, Sean, Jamie, Britnee; numerous great-granddaughters and great-grandsons; sisters, Ruth, Margie, Carole; and brother, Robert.
Family will welcome guests for visitation on Monday, March 27, 2017 from 10:00-11:00am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron with service at 11:00am. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park to follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
