Mary E. Novak

Mary E. Novak, 96, passed away on November 3, 2021. She was born September 3, 1925 in Grey's Landing, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Youngstown, Ohio. She married her late husband Marcus in May 1948, and the two spent 61 years together raising their family. In 1973, she moved to New Mexico with her husband. She retired from work in 2007. Mary was a huge fan of Shirley Temple. She was incredibly creative and talented. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cake decorating, and attending craft fairs.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her infant son in 1953, Anthony Andrew Novak.

She will be deeply missed by her children, Mary Anne Lightfoot (Novak) and Mark (Phebe) Novak; five grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and their children.

Friends and family are welcome to visit Newcomer 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, OH on Monday November 15, 2021 from 11:30am until 12:30pm.
