Mary Viola Rhodes (Smith)
Mary Viola Rhodes (Smith) died suddenly Friday May 5, 2006 as a result of a tragic accident.
She was born March 21, 1942 in Cresson PA to Viola G. Smith (Adams) and Henry John Smith Sr. She graduated from Altoona High in Pennsylvania. She spent most of her life in Akron OH.
She enjoyed playing bingo with senior citizens and making lots of crafts. She collected turtles and bells and enjoyed dancing and singing songs with her great niece Peyton Francis.
Mary will be reunited with her loving spouse Kenneth Rhodes Sr. Mary leaves behind her sons Kenneth Dean Jr, Brian Rhodes (Tommy Seger); grandson, Kevin Howald; sisters Mildred Fuller (Ronald Fuller), Margaret "Peggy" Smith; brothers Daniel Smith, Henry Smith Jr, Frank Smith; niece Corinna Harrison and sons Sebastian, Cory, Kelly; nephew Luke, Eric, Sam Jr, Chris Church (Lacy Ruppel) Jonathan Fuller, Philip Hopper, Stepsons Walter and Kenneth Reed; great nieces Taylor and Peyton Ruppel.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday May 9, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at the Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N Canton Rd with Pastor Barry Creekmore officiating. Family and Friends may call on Monday from 4 - 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Online condolences can be made at www.newcomerfamily.com
